GPS (Goal. Purpose. Strategy) is a term I coined for myself when I realized I needed direction and structure with my personal finances.

So what is GPS and how does it relate to your finances?

Goals (): Your goal is simply stating what you want. It's the same as asking yourself: Self, what would I like to achieve? 

Think of your goals as a declaration of your intentions.

Purpose (): Your "why" gives your goals more meaning. It makes room for a deeper connection and desire to reaching your goals. 

This combination is necessary for fighting through the distractions that move you further away from accomplishing your goals. 

It is much more difficult to be distracted when you set your purpose because anything that doesn’t align immediately gets the boot.

Attaching a purpose (why) to your financial goals also keeps you motivated, and fired up as you make your money moves!

Strategy (): How do you plan to go from point A to B? In other words, from where you are to where you need to be?

By establishing a clear strategy. 

A strategy is a series of action steps that support your goals and turns them into reality.  

Since applying The GPS principle in my life, I've built my net worth into six-figures in my real estate AND stock portfolio.
